Speakers
Richard Price is a nationally known expert on Cable TV and Internet right of entry agreements and new technologies. He has made a significant contribution to the development of cable TV and Internet technologies in high density housing for more than 35 years. Mr. Price formed Broadband Planning in 2007, a company that advises private community management companies as well as large developers on how to make the most of their relationship with Cable TV and Internet providers. Broadband Planning is an advocate and strong voice for the rights of Homeowners Associations. The company represents hundreds of communities across the nation.
Carl Kandutsch operates the Kandutsch Law Office in Plano, Texas, representing Multi Dwelling Unit (MDU) property owners and managers, as well as broadband service providers, at the intersection of real estate and telecommunications law. He holds a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, a Ph.D. from Yale University, a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, and has more than 13 years of experience in real estate and telecommunications law. While working as a staff attorney in the Cable Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission, Carl took a lead role in drafting amendments to the Commission’s rules governing the disposition of “inside wiring” in MDU properties.
Adam Balkcom is the Director of Business Development for Broadband Planning LLC. He travels the country informing boards of their rights in relation to cable and internet providers’ activities in their community. He started his career with Capgamini, an international technology consulting firm. He later transitioned into owning a fitness company that provided fitness and wellness services directly to homeowners in planned developments. During that time he spent five years as the board president for his 300 home private community.
