Speakers
Douglas J. Henken, CIRMS, heads the mid-Atlantic marketing office of Community Association Underwriters of America (CAU). One of the first recipients of the Community Insurance and Risk Management Specialist (CIRMS) designation from CAI, he served on the board of CAI's Washington Metro chapter from 2000-2006 and chaired the chapter's membership and marketing committees. Currently a member of CAI's national faculty, Henken teaches the M-205: Risk Management course. He has presented educational programs on community association insurance at CAI annual conferences, as well as at chapter seminars.
Nancy K. Cannan, CIRMS, is executive vice president of marketing of CAU. She has specialized in the community association field throughout her 37 years in the insurance industry and has been with CAU since 1989. Cannan has been an active member of CAI since 1984 and was among the first group of insurance professionals to receive the CIRMS designation. She serves on the membership committee of CAI's Washington State chapter and is a past member of the board of directors. A member of CAI's national faculty, Cannan has been a speaker and panelist for numerous local and national events and has written articles for various publications.
