In June 2012, the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled that an HOA’s ban on political signs in windows violates constitutional free speech guarantees. The Mazdabrook decision, along with the then-landmark Twin Rivers ruling of 2007, made national headlines for bringing to the fore the debate between private property/contract rights vs. first amendment freedoms in community associations.
This debate-style webinar features a panel of nationally recognized attorneys discussing how common-interest communities can protect and balance constitutional rights in light of these cases, including best practices and amendments to governing documents.
