Speakers:
Brendan P. Bunn is a shareholder in Chadwick, Washington, Moriarty, Elmore & Bunn PC and has been practicing community association law since 1993. He counsels the firm’s clients on the broad range of community association law issues and is also an experienced litigator. His recent projects include pursuit of condominium developer warranty claims and assisting clients in amending their governing documents. Brendan has additional experience in cooperative-to-condominium conversions and insurance defense litigation. From 1993 to 1998, Brendan practiced with the D.C. office of Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, LLP, and he joined Chadwick, Washington in 1998. He was elected as shareholder in the firm in 2001.
Scott B. Carpenter, Esq. focuses primarily on general counsel, corporate and transactional matters, complex litigation, business advice, transactions, employment issues and conflict resolution and avoidance for condominiums, homeowners associations, planned community associations, cooperatives, churches and other nonprofit clients. As the author of Community Association Law in Arizona, published by the State Bar of Arizona, Scott is highly regarded on community association matters.
Janet Powers, Senior Shareholder at Fiore, Racobs & Powers, is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and Community Associations Institute (CAI). She is a member of the prestigious College of Community Association Lawyers of CAI (CCAL) and has served on the Editorial Board of the CCAL Journal of Community Association Law. She was the President of the Board of Directors of the Orange County Regional Chapter of CAI in 2001. She has also served on all of the Chapter Committees, and is past chair of the Programs, Finance, Education, and Media committees. Ms. Powers has received several Chapter awards, including the Chapter's highest award, the May Russell Award, for her service to the Chapter in 2002, the President's award in 2003, and the Ellen Ellish Hall of Fame Award in 2005.
