PresenterDawn Bauman, CAE, is senior vice president of government and public affairs for Community Associations Institute (CAI). Dawn joined CAI in 1996 as executive director of the Central Arizona chapter. In 2000, she became executive vice president of the Washington Metropolitan chapter, CAI’s largest. In 2002, she joined the national office of CAI to oversee chapter relations and became executive director of the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (now the Community Association Managers International Certification Board) in 2003. Dawn holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and has earned the prestigious Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation. She is a speaker and trainer for professionals seeking to earn their CAE certification and has extensive experience in strategic planning, nonprofit management and organizational development.
