Program Description
Learn about intellectual property issues that may arise for the community law practitioner such as contracting for website creation, use of special software packages, cable contracts, and disputes regarding licensing various intellectual property for the community.
Speakers
Geoffrey Lottenberg, an associate with the Malin Haley DiMaggio & Bowen PA.,is a patent attorney with a background in mechanical engineering and design. Mr. Lottenberg focuses his practice on patent and trademark procurement and intellectual property litigation. His patent prosecution practice concentrates on mechanical, electrical, and software arts, as well as business methods..
Joel McTague received his B.A. in Political Science and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami, his M.B.A. with Distinction from New York Institute of Technology, and is currently all-but-dissertation for his Doctor of Business Administration with a focus in finance from Nova Southeastern University and is finishing his LLM in tax law from the Washington School of Law. In addition, Mr. McTague received his Chartered Financial Consultant from the American College and has attended numerous courses in international intellectual property law at the United Nations. He is admitted to the bars in both Florida and the District of Columbia, and is licensed in many federal courts including the Supreme Court of the United States..
