These five focus areas also feature material to supplement a 170+ page manual distributed to session attendees that covers insurance requirements in contracts and a broad range of liability insurance issues as applied to many different types of contracts.

Program Description
This session provides a closer focus on community association issues in hold harmless clauses, key elements of AIA contracts, bonding-basics for construction and rehab work, aviation risks involving drones, and special coverage situations and verifying coverage. These five focus areas also feature material to supplement a 170+ page manual distributed to session attendees that covers insurance requirements in contracts and a broad range of liability insurance issues as applied to many different types of contracts.
Speaker
Clifford J. Treese, CIRMS is president of Association Data, Inc., a company specializing in community association information and data. Mr. Treese has been involved with CAI almost since its inception. He is a past president of CAI and the CAI Foundation for Community Association Research and he is a recipient of CAI’s Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Treese is author of several CAI Publications on various topics including community association risk management and insurance. He also is president of Association Consulting, Inc. a community association risk management consulting firm. He is a graduate of Stanford University and attended graduate school at the University of Chicago.
Kevin Miller, ARM is First Vice President of Alliant Insurance Services, Inc., a national insurance brokerage specializing in community association insurance among other habitational exposures. Alliant is a specialist in community associations including expertise with insuring high rise and mixed use communities. Through its companies Community Association Underwriters and Preferred Concepts, Alliant is one of the largest insurance providers to community associations in the United States.
Timothy Cline, CIRMS is considered one of the leading authorities on insurance for common interest developments. He is President of the Timothy Cline Insurance Agency, Inc. based in Santa Monica, California, where he and his staff specialize exclusively in coverage for common interest developments and commercial properties in California, Oregon, Washington and Arizona.
Michele King, CIRMS has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry. She currently serves as Area Vice President at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.. Michele leads the Community Association Niche for the Chicagoland Area. In her role she maintains the relationships with the insurance carriers providing the most comprehensive and competitive programs for Community Associations.
Steven L. Sugarman, Esq. is the founding principal of the law firm of Steven L. Sugarman & Associates, with offices located in Berwyn, Philadelphia, Lancaster and Allentown, Pennsylvania and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He concentrates his practice in the field of community association law, real estate and construction litigation.
