This program discusses the board orientation from each officer's perspective, including the president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary, and examine the role of board members at-large. By divvying up the presentation, each board member becomes engaged in the process and, ideally, in the development of the leadership team.

Speaker
Margey J. Meyer, CMCA, PCAM, is president of CADRExperts (Community Association Dispute Resolution Experts) and is a certified mediator with the American Arbitration Association and the Better Business Bureau of Greater Houston. She is a Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude graduate of Florida State University in Florence, Italy. Margey owned her own management company for 21 years and, after selling it to Associa, was Dean of Associa University and VP-Industry Education, Integration and Outreach for the next decade. Among her many leadership positions with Community Associations Institute (CAI), Margey chaired the Government and Public Affairs Committee, Council of Chapters, Education Committee and Foundation for Community Association Research, and served on the Board of Trustees and as Treasurer and VP of the CAI Executive Committee. Locally, Margey has chaired the CAI-Houston PR Committee since the late 1990s.
