Homeowners associations are small governments faced with problems traditionally overseen under municipality domain. To effectively address those problems, common-interest developments can and should lean on the expertise and resources of their local governments. This session features a panel discussion with a city manager, city attorney, and an HOA attorney to explain how associations and local governments can interact to effectively address issues like short-term rentals, granny flats, architectural issues, sober living homes, landscape maintenance, traffic, safety, and neighbor disputes.
