In April 2013, the Insurance Services Office (IS0) began introducing a series of changes to commercial property and liability policies as well as to additional insured endorsements. The adoption of these changes is left to each state and insurer, but generally a number of ISO changes find their way into most insurance policies involving community associations.
Special Note: This program is a recorded education session from the 2014 CAI Law Seminar, brought to you by the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL).
Duration: 90 minutes
Program Description
In April 2013, the Insurance Services Office (IS0) began introducing a series of changes to commercial property and liability policies as well as to additional insured endorsements. The adoption of these changes is left to each state and insurer, but generally a number of ISO changes find their way into most insurance policies involving community associations.
Also, from another perspective, the ISO changes involving additional insured endorsements can have a direct and immediate impact on the contract language an association might use when it enters into contracts with contractors and service providers. All the key changes and endorsements that might involve associations will be discussed in this program including the use of a Vendor Qualification Packet as a risk management tool.
