It also addresses marijuana legalization and decriminalization and marijuana’s potential effect on associations, from both restriction and liability standpoints.
Speakers
Ed Allcock, a partner in the firm Marcus, Errico, Emmer & Brooks PC is a Condominium Lawyer licensed to practice in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Ed has blended his extensive knowledge of condominium law into an active multistate condominium litigation practice. In addition to conducting numerous trials on behalf of condominium associations, Ed has the unique distinction of having appeared on condominium related matters in the Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island Supreme Courts, a distinction which has resulted in his having been named a Massachusetts and New England Superlawyer for five consecutive years. Ed’s multistate condominium litigation practice ranges from condominium development rights and phasing cases, enforcement of condominium covenants and rules, construction defects, land use and zoning issues, contract disputes, matters of statutory interpretation, easement and real property rights claims (including view easements), fiduciary claims, and insurance defense of condominium boards.
Brian D. Moreno is a Partner with Richardson Harman Ober PC. His litigation and general counsel practice encompasses the representation of various types of entities and community associations, including condominium developments, planned developments, stock cooperatives, qualified vacation ownership resorts, as well as mobile home communities in connection with matters pertaining to common interest development law, real estate law, collection law and corporation law. Mr. Moreno has handled numerous real estate and community association issues and disputes relating to CC&Rs enforcement and interpretation, corporate governance, assessment collection, foreclosure and wrongful foreclosure defense. He has also handled matters related to the assignment of rents enforcement, view protection, conveyance deeds, easements, encroachment and boundary disputes, deeds of trust interpretation and enforcement, lien priority, title insurance, eviction, wrongful eviction and community association governance.
Kenneth R. Sauter is a partner in the Morristown, N.J. office of Hill Wallack LLP and is a member of the firm’s Community Associations, Real Estate, and Banking & Financial Services practice groups. Mr. Sauter’s practice is devoted to real estate matters, with particular emphasis on the representation of community associations. His practice includes commercial real estate transactions, leasing and financing; representation of commercial lenders, including community association lenders; land use and development; and general business representation.
