Speakers
Scott B. Carpenter, Esq. focuses primarily on general counsel, corporate and transactional matters, complex litigation, business advice, transactions, employment issues and conflict resolution and avoidance for condominiums, homeowners associations, planned community associations, cooperatives, churches and other nonprofit clients. As the author of Community Association Law in Arizona, published by the State Bar of Arizona, Scott is highly regarded on community association matters.
Marc Markel, Esq. One of Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler Hailey’s founding partners, Marc Markel has been practicing law for over thirty years. Marc heads the firm’s real estate section; he is experienced in handling all aspects of real estate transactions, litigation and community association representation. Marc has been listed on Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers from 2005 to 2012 and has also been featured in the Super Lawyers, "Corporate Counsel" Edition in the area of Real Estate. Marc is Board Certified in Residential Real Estate and Commercial Real Estate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a charter member of the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL). Brian D. Moreno is a Partner with Richardson Harman Ober PC. His litigation and general counsel practice encompasses the representation of various types of entities and community associations, including condominium developments, planned developments, stock cooperatives, qualified vacation ownership resorts, as well as mobile home communities in connection with matters pertaining to common interest development law, real estate law, collection law and corporation law. Mr. Moreno has handled numerous real estate and community association issues and disputes relating to CC&Rs enforcement and interpretation, corporate governance, assessment collection, foreclosure and wrongful foreclosure defense. He has also handled matters related to the assignment of rents enforcement, view protection, conveyance deeds, easements, encroachment and boundary disputes, deeds of trust interpretation and enforcement, lien priority, title insurance, eviction, wrongful eviction and community association governance.
Lucia Anna Trigiani, Esq. practices common interest ownership community association law. This includes representation of community associations, real estate developers of common interest ownership community associations, Virginia real estate brokerage licensing law, and legislative representation.
