Defending Your Community from Ransomware and Other Cyber Threats
Your community association is vulnerable in the increasingly prevalent technological battlefield. The risks of ransomware, phishing, and other cyber threats are growing. Community association board members, managers, and management company executives need to understand the risks, vulnerabilities, and how to defend themselves in the shifting cybersecurity landscape.
Our panel of experts will help you realize what could be at stake, how to identify potential vulnerabilities, how to prepare for a data breach, and how to react when one occurs. Listen in as a community manager shares firsthand experience from a recent ransomware attack. Learn more about the following threats:
- Ransomware: When a cybercriminal gains control of your data and holds it ransom.
Social engineering: An umbrella term for when criminals seek to influence the behavior of others through technological means
Phishing: A social engineering attempt to gain sensitive information, such as a password or bank account numbers, through fraudulent emails, suspicious links, or infected attachments.
