The number and cost of weather and climate disasters are increasing. In 2021, the U.S. experienced 20 separate billion-dollar natural disasters—second only to the record 22 disasters in 2020, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Combine that fact with spiking inflation, and it’s more important than ever for community associations to prepare for the unexpected. Our panel of experts will give you a clear road map to navigating a major disaster whether you’ve never filed an insurance claim or are well acquainted with the process.
Tune in for a discussion on:
- Coverages, laws, and tips on finding business partners who can help brace a community for a disaster.
- Details on how to handle claims and manage reconstruction.
- Notes on what to expect in terms of coverage in the aftermath of a disaster.
- Real-world examples of how communities have bounced back.
