Brian Butler is Senior Vice President in Chicago, Illinois for FirstService Residential, North America’s largest professional community association management firm.A CAI member since 2012, Brian oversees a dynamic team of vice presidents, operational leaders, regional directors and community managers, serving hundreds of high-rise communities in downtown Chicago.
Brian currently serves on the national CAI Manager’s Council, a select group of professionals which advises the national Board of Trustees on matters affecting the industry. He is also the immediate Past President of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Chapter of CAI, where he has received the CAI Olympus Award and Rising Star Award. He is a licensed attorney and also serves as the co-chair of the CAI Illinois Legislative Action Committee (ILAC). Brian holds a Community Association Manager license, earned his CMCA and AMS designations, and has attained the industry’s highest professional accreditation, the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation.
Brian also serves as the Vice President of the Streeterville Organization of Active Residents (SOAR) which is dedicated to preserving, promoting and enhancing the quality of life and community in this highly-visible downtown Chicago neighborhood sitting between the Mag Mile/Michigan Avenue, the Chicago River, and Lake Michigan.
Harmony Taylor, Esq.
Harmony Taylor focuses her practice on representation of community associations on litigated and non-litigated matters for Law Firm Carolinas in Charlotte. Harmony regularly advises on association governance, assists with director and member meetings, represents communities in district and superior courts, and represents associations in complaints brought before local human relations commissions on fair housing and other discrimination claims. Harmony serves on the CAI North Carolina Legislative Action Committee and the College of Community Association Lawyers Governing Documents Task Force.
Harmony also represents individuals and entities in negotiating and drafting leases and contracts and litigating disputes arising from these agreements. Harmony has participated in hundreds of mediations and over 20 jury trials, and she has litigated cases in district and superior courts across North Carolina through the appellate level.
