Following the tragic condominium collapse in Surfside, Fla., last year, all eyes were on the Florida legislature in 2022 to see how they would address safety issues for the more than 9 million Floridians living in community associations. CAI is honored to be joined by two members of the Florida Senate who led the conversation during the 2022 legislative session: Sens. Jennifer Bradley and Jason Pizzo. - Senator Jason Pizzo (D-Miami-Dade County): A former assistant state attorney and Chair of the Senate Criminal Justice Committee, Senator Pizzo has pushed for condominium reform since being elected to the Legislature in 2018. Representing Surfside, Senator Pizzo was onsite at the Champlain Towers South Condominium collapse every day, supporting survivors and families who lost loved ones.
