Speakers
Scott B. Carpenter, Esq. focuses primarily on general counsel, corporate and transactional matters, complex litigation, business advice, transactions, employment issues and conflict resolution and avoidance for condominiums, homeowners associations, planned community associations, cooperatives, churches and other nonprofit clients. As the author of Community Association Law in Arizona, published by the State Bar of Arizona, Scott is highly regarded on community association matters.
Marc Markel, Esq. One of Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler Hailey’s founding partners, Marc Markel has been practicing law for over thirty years. Marc heads the firm’s real estate section; he is experienced in handling all aspects of real estate transactions, litigation and community association representation. Marc has been listed on Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers from 2005 to 2012 and has also been featured in the Super Lawyers, "Corporate Counsel" Edition in the area of Real Estate. Marc is Board Certified in Residential Real Estate and Commercial Real Estate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a charter member of the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL). Stephen M. A popular lecturer for CAI and CAI-New England, and a frequent contributor to industry publications, Marcus is often consulted by experts from other industries and quoted in general interest publications.

Scott J. Sandler, Esq., is a partner at Perlstein, Sandler & McCracken LLC in Farmington, Conn., which provides legal services to more than 400 condominium and homeowner associations throughout the state. A fellow in CAI’s College of Community Association Lawyers, Scott has served as chairman of CAI’s Legislative Action Committee in Connecticut since 2010. He is also a member of CAI’s Government & Public Affairs Committee and served as president of the Connecticut chapter in 2008-2009. Scott also represented the chapter when he served on the Connecticut Law Revision Commission Study Committee, which adapted the 2008 revisions of the Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act.
Lucia Anna Trigiani, Esq. practices common interest ownership community association law. This includes representation of community associations, real estate developers of common interest ownership community associations, Virginia real estate brokerage licensing law, and legislative representation.
